Raymond QuekAmidst the second Lunar New Year ever since the pandemic measures, Google has announced this year’s first iteration of festive rewards – the Google Pay’s Huat Pals. Tracing back to the multiple incentives offered in last year’s debut, users can expect new collectable characters and attractive rewards.
Red packet and merchant vouchers
By collecting the 5 auspicious characters for this year, you will have a chance to a grand hamper containing an angpow (up to $88.88) and a voucher from merchants like FairPrice Online, Flash Coffee, Foodpanda and Shopee.
You can get a character through purchases above S$5 on Google Pay, such as Scan & Pay and purchases in Google Pay app. You could also gift Huat pals to friends.
Gift baskets to feed purchase desires
Users who unlock Huat pals characters Mala or BB LOH will receive gift baskets consisting of vouchers, cashback scratch cards, and other Huat pals to add to their collection. Participating merchants include IRVINS, Klook, Shaw Theatres, Sephora and TADA.
Apart from monetary incentives, users can also bring home physical gifts in the form of BB Loh Enamel Pins, Google Pay x Shopee Tote Bags, exclusive red packets and stickers.
Hop on board with Google Pay
If you are not already on Google Pay, the app has taken a colossal step forward since launch – now supporting FavePay and overseas fund transfer.
The Google Pay app can be downloaded on the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
