Here’s what Singaporeans were watching most on YouTube in 2019

It’s the end of the year again and YouTube has just shared with us the top videos that Singaporeans were watching in 2019. For the first time, the video streaming site has also released the list of Most Watched Creator Videos. Check out who made the list!

YouTube is a platform that brings people together and connects them with the content they love. Over the past year, we’ve seen the hours of content uploaded from YouTube channels in Singapore growing by over 50%. The National Day Parade committee seems to have a winning formula for their annual theme songs. Following in the footsteps of 2018’s top trending videos, Singaporeans sang loudly and proudly once again to this year’s track, Our Singapore. The voices of 27 musicians from different generations including Rahimah Rahim, Stefanie Sun, JJ Lin, and Dick Lee propelled the video to #2 spot in this year’s trending list.

Since its opening earlier this year, Changi Airport’s latest attraction, Jewel, has since become an instantly recognisable icon globally. CNBC International’s feature (#6) on this shining new ‘crown jewel’ also got locals and tourists excited about the 10-storey building that has welcomed about 50 million visitors in its first six months.
