Aimed at Gen Z and millennials, Samsung’s has just released The Freestyle, an all-new portable screen and entertainment device. It even assumes the role of a smart speaker and ambient lighting when idle.
Adaptable, like its owner
Weighing at just 830 grams, The Freestyle is attached to an adjustable cradle that rotates up to 180-degrees. With comprehensive auto keystone and focus adjustments, high-quality videos can be projected anywhere – from slanted walls, ceilings and outdoor surfaces.
The display size can be scaled from anywhere between 30 inches and 100 inches, which can be scaled and repositioned without moving the projector body. With 1080P Full HD, PurColor and HDR support for a vibrant viewing experience.
Holistic entertainment experience
Inheriting the Smart TV feature from other Samsung devices, users will be granted built-in streaming services, mirroring, and casting capabilities for Android and iOS mobile devices.
Equipped with a dual passive radiator with a 5-watt woofer, The Freestyle will provide an enriching audio-visual experience, even with the display unused. Going in tandem with the sound effects, Freestyle’s ambient mode and translucent lens cap doubles as an ambient lighting effect.
Availability and Pricing
The Freestyle will be available for pre-order online, through Samsung’s website, major consumer electronics stores including Best Denki, Courts and Gain City and online e-commerce channels such as Lazada and Shopee.
The projector will retail at S$1,499 and is expected to ship towards the end of February 2022. Customers who choose to pre-order the device will receive a free Mazer 65w portable battery (worth S$129).
