Chia Jun WeiXiaomi has announced its latest offerings in the field of next-generation fast charging – the pioneering 80W Mi Wireless Charging Technology. It is a major leap from Xiaomi’s 30W Wireless Charging Technology that was introduced last year.
The 80W Mi Wireless Charging Technology is capable of filling a 4,000mAh to 10% in 1 minute, 50% in 8 minutes and 100% in just 19 minutes. Comparing it with the 30W Mi Wireless Charging Technology from 2019, the 30W Mi Wireless Charging Technology was capable of charging a similar battery to 50% in about 25 minutes, and 100% in 69 minutes.
The 80W Mi Wireless Charging Technology is expected to be the new benchmark not in the wireless charging arena but in the charging technology as a whole. Xiaomi has been pioneering in the trend of the importance of battery life and faster charging for the future development of smartphones.
