Google Gemini introduces Canvas - an AI-interactive space for collaboration

The introduction of Canvas brings about a new interactive space within Gemini designed to make creating, refining and sharing your work easy. Designed for multi-platform collaboration, Canvas is seamlessly integrated with Gemini with a shortcut to export the results to Google docs.

Audio Overview

If you thrive on audio learning, Audio Overviews transforms your documents, slides and even Deep Research reports into engaging, podcast-style audio discussions. Audio Overview strives to help its users make sense of complex information.

Gemini will create a podcast-style discussion between two AI hosts who engage in a lively deep-dive conversation based on your uploaded files to mimic real-life conversations. It will summarise the material, draw connections between topics, and dynamically provide unique perspectives.

Collaborate with Canvas

After activating Canvas from the prompt bar, users can write and edit documents or code with real-time amendments. Canvas starts by generate high-quality first drafts, followed by Gemini’s feedback to suggest edits.

Popular enhancements include adjustments to tone, length, and formatting. Through these enhancements, users can easily craft writeups for different scenarios such as essays, blog posts or speeches.
