Here are 2 new economical Canon printers for small to mid-sized offices

With companies downsizing or even moving to a home-based work arrangement, Canon’s new MAXIFY GX7070 and MAXIFY GX6070 printers come just in time to meet a high volume of printing at an affordable price.

These two new printers differ from traditional office printers due to their small form factor, and combine the benefits associated with inkjet and laser printers.

Best of both worlds

The water-resistant pigments used in the two printers inherits the benefits of both traditional inkjet and laser printers, offering vivid printouts that are smudge resistant and anti-bleed. The latter might come in handy when using water-based highlighter pens on documents.

Adapting to the hybrid working environment, these printers feature large ink tanks that are refillable from high-volume ink bottles, significantly reducing the regular ink costs. When set to Economy mode, the printer is able to output 9,000 and 21,000 pages of grayscale and colour printout respectively.

Efficiency at high volumes

With business users in mind, the printers come with large paper cassettes that can load a maximum of 600 sheets on the MAXIFY GX7070 and 350 sheets on the  MAXIFY GX6070.

Both printers come standard with automatic two-sided printing and an automatic document feeder for scans, which can be saved directly onto USB devices.

The MAXIFY GX7070 comes with an added bonus of single-pass duplex scanning, where both sides of a two-sided document can be scanned in a single paper-pass.

Minimal downtime while staying connected

The modular, user-replaceable maintenance cartridge on both printers saves the hassle of sending the printer to the nearest service centres, and cutting back on associated service times.

Since our smartphones and laptops handle an increasing amount of documents, the printers support wireless connectivity on top of the wired interface, which can be accessed through the Canon PRINT Inkjet or SELPHY mobile app, as well as print directly from the cloud.

Availability and Pricing

The MAXIFY GX7070 and MAXIFY GX6070 are now available from Canon authorized dealers for S$889 and S$769 respectively.

If you are in the market for a printer that boasts the advantage of both laser and inkjet printers, this printer might be a worthy investment.
