The Canon SELPHY CP1500 features multi-device pairing for personalised photo printing

Hourning on the modern photo printing trends, the Canon SELPHY CP1500 supports multiple connectivity options across multiple devices. The device adopts a clean, minimalistic design with two colour schemes – black or white, to appeal to the everyday consumer.

Compared to its predecessor, the new NB-CP2LI battery pack provides up to 72 postcard-sized prints from a single charge—up from the 54 prints on the predecessor.

Seamless printing experience

Supporting multiple connection types ranging from WiFi, a Type-C cable or even portable storage devices, the printer strives to break the connectivity barrier imposed by other printing solutions.

Hosting up to 8 simultaneous connectivity at an instance, the device is an ideal addition to large events and parties. All that is required is to scan the QR code with the SELPHY Photo Layout app.

Apart from the obvious task of linking your device to the printer, the SELPHY Photo Layout 3.0 smartphone app allows users to add patterned overcoats to decorate their photos with a personal touch.

Photos uploaded onto image.canon, social media or elsewhere on the cloud can also be accessed through the app, without needing to download it locally.

Canon Print Quality

Tapping on the attributes of the SELPHY series, the SELPHY CP1500 produces high-quality images with enhanced vividness of portrait prints. Utilising dye sublimation technology to produce smooth colour tones and richer gradations, the device enhances the brightness, saturation, contrast and tones of printouts.

The postcard-sized prints can be made in about 41 seconds while card-size prints can be made in about 23 seconds. Each printout is covered in a special overcoat to leave the photo pristine, fending against water, dirt, colour fading and even fingerprint.

Availability and Pricing

The SELPHY CP1500 will be available for purchase from Canon authorized dealers in September 2022. The company have yet to release any pricing information.
