Raymond QuekVivo has just announced the new vivo V21 5G as a new addition to its V series, which has a long history of offering camera-focused smartphones. This time, the new 44MP front-facing camera with OIS on the vivo V21 5G serves to continue the legacy.
The company has also recently revealed that it would be the official smartphone sponsor of UEFA EURO 2020, aiming to allow global football fans to enjoy every beautiful moment during the tournament.
A superb camera experience
The 44MP front-facing camera is equipped with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electric Image Stabilisation (EIS) to compensate for any movements during filming. The camera features AI Night Portrait, autofocus, a special light sensor and a pair of Selfie Spotlight to correct the exposure and background photo noise.
The Dual Selfie Spotlight combines both the screen’s soft light and built-in front flashes to make it even easier to capture great night photos and videos. On the rear, you can find a 64MP OIS camera supported by a set of secondary cameras to handle wide-angle and more complex shots and macro photography.
Like the front-facing camera, the rear camera contains advanced AI to augment facial features, on top of a Double Exposure Function to let users’ creativity shine through. To achieve the best of both sides at once, users can enable the dual-view option, which records videos from both sides of the smartphone.
Well-balanced performer at just 7.29mm
On the inside, the V21 5G features an MTK Dimensity 800U processor that contains a 2.4GHz large core for a fast interface, enhanced gaming experience and powering the high refresh rate display together with 5G.
Compared to standard 5G-enabled phones, the dual-mode 5G found on this device features a proprietary 5G antenna technology for improved power consumption and a more stable connection.
The phone also supports 33W FlashCharge that allows users to power up in no time.
On its face, the smartphone packs an E3 AMOLED 6.44-inch FullView Display with a 90Hz refresh rate, bundled with optimal screen brightness, contrast, colour vividness, blue light eye protection, and more.
Availability and Pricing
The vivo V21 5G will be available from 19 June 2021 in Singapore in two colours, Dusk Blue and Sunset Dazzle – at a retail price of S$599.
It can be purchased through major telcos, vivo’s official Lazada store, Qoo10, Shopee, authorised retailers and vivo’s flagship store at Causeway Point.
