Samsung announces local availability of the new Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G

Samsung has just unveiled its latest lineup of foldable smartphones: Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G.

What’s new?

As foldable smartphones, these two models are the first to be rated with IPX84 water resistance. That means users would no longer have to worry about getting caught in the rain.

Both models are also built with Samsung’s new Armor Aluminium, making it the strongest aluminium ever used on a Galaxy smartphone.

The screen is also equipped with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus™ to protect against scratches and accidental drops. In addition, both models will include a new protective film made of stretchable PET (Polyethylene terephthalate). Samsung also claims that the display panel layers are now optimised so that the main screen is 80% more durable than earlier models like the Galaxy Z Fold2.

Expands upon 5G capable models in Singapore

With the addition of the new Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, Samsung now has a total of 16 5G-ready devices in the Singapore market today. It certainly provides consumers with a multitude of choices across different form factors and price points for them to unlock the power of 5G.

Availability and Pricing

Pre-orders for both the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G are now open in Singapore. Consumers who pre-order their devices will be able to collect them from Thursday, 2 September 2021.

Both devices will generally be available in Singapore stores only from 10am on Friday, 10 September 2021.
