As we welcome the lunar new year (LNY) of the dragon, Google’s Huat Pals brings about new features for you to intuitively respond to festive-related interactions this 2024.

Fully utilise the search features on the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, alongside with its superior camera enhancements to impress your family members with the photo results.

To increase your potential gains this LNY, we begin by introducing the five new Huat Pals for the year of the dragon— Xixi Haha, Ah Bong, Macho Meow, Hop Pop and Souper Loong. Collect all to unlock the legendary Dragon Dance and win one of these attractive prizes.

  • A scratch card worth up to $88.88; or
  • A Pixel 8 Pro (worth up to S$1,549); or
  • A Pixel 8 worth (worth up to S$1,099)
  • A pair of Pixel Buds Pro (worth up to S$299)

A Huat Pal will be granted each time you complete any of the following actions on Google Pay:

  • Making eligible transactions above $5 to merchants via:

  • Send money an amount above $10 to a friend (*Recipient must be a Google Pay user)
  • Purchase movie tickets on Google Pay
  • Gift a Huat Pal to a friend and receive one bonus Pal per unique friend you gift

Making its debut this year, Huat Match is a game where users can match as many auspicious icons as possible within a limited number of moves.
