The most affordable contract-less data-only mobile plan, users can instantly buy affordable roaming data add-ons from just S$6.00 through the MyRepublic mobile app – just in time for the rise in Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs) with other countries.
Users still feeling constricted by the data plan may simply purchase instant data boosters through MyRepublic’s mobile app from just S$4.00 per GB or wait until the next billing cycle. Customers needing a higher data ceiling can also upgrade easily from the Data-Only Plan to the Lite, Core, Pro, or Unlimited plans.
What’s the catch?
The deal does come with a caveat (more like a handful) – it is available only for MyRepublic fibre broadband customers, and the last 10GB (out of 14GB) peaking at 1Mbps – the same standard as Wireless@SG. Every extra gigabyte costs more than the monthly subscription itself, raising doubts on whether it is really worth these compromises.
Customers may sign up through MyRepublic’s MyAccount dashboard, or through any official or partner retail stores.
