Toshiba YouMe is the first 5-tick low GWP inverter multi-split aircon

In line with the theme for World Environment Day 2019 to #beatairpollution, Toshiba is leading the charge towards sustainability with the Toshiba YouMe. This is a new consumer-grade air conditioner that is more energy efficient and it promises a reduction in CO2 emissions.

The name YouMe was inspired by Japanese word ゆめ (or Yume). which means Dream.

Sustainable technology

With the goal to reduce the impact on global warming, the YouMe is rated to have a 72% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to its previous generation (R410A system).

The use of a new refrigerant, known as the R32 system makes it hyper-efficient. This allowed the YouMe to be the first and only air conditioner to achieve a 5-tick energy efficiency rating in Singapore.

Toshiba appoints Tosh Zhang as brand ambassador

Toshiba brought together Tosh Zhang and the universally loved Shiba Inu as brand ambassadors for the Toshiba YouMe. Tosh, best known for his roles in the smash-hit series Ah Boys to Men, and man’s best friend Shiba have come together to promote the Toshiba YouMe – Singapore’s first 5-tick low GWP Inverter Multi Split AC.
