Huawei enters the monitor market with the MateView and MateView GT

Huawei has recently released two MateView monitors – the MateView for productivity and the MateView GT for gamers. Each monitor adopts a sleek design, with the MateView inspired by renowned painter Wassily Kandinsky and the MateView GT inspired by sports cars.

The MateView monitor lineup comes standard with 90% and 98% DCI-P3 colours on both models and includes TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light emissions and flicker-free operation to reduce eye fatigue.

In-built speakers on both monitors provide an immersive sound experience without using external peripherals. The dual-microphone comes with a built-in noise reduction algorithm to pick up from sources up to four metres away.

Containing a 4K+ (3840 x 2560) 28.2-inch display with precise colour reproduction (98% of the cinema-standard DCI-P3 colour gamut) and a 3:2 aspect ratio, this monitor is ideal for content creation, productivity, and entertainment uses.

Its minimalist design and narrow borders blend the computer into any environment while reducing distraction. To double down on the productivity capabilities, this monitor allows Huawei laptops, smartphones and tablets to be projected on the Huawei MateView monitor.

By choosing to either duplicate or extend the device’s screen, Huawei users can combine the benefits of mobile working on their portable devices, together with a full-fledged desktop experience, with support for up to 2K low latency. The versatile ports on the back offer USB-C, USB-A, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort to help connect a range of devices and allow for easy switching.

The said monitor features an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio and a 1500R curvature to surround the gamers in their virtual battlefields. A 165Hz refresh rate along with an immersive 34-inch size provides smoother motion compared to standard displays. A built-in crosshair display can also be enabled to help competitive first-person shooters quickly target their opponents.

Huawei Display 23.8”

Sporting a 1080P screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, this model is Huawei’s answer to the everyday computer user. Thanks to the 5.7mm narrow bezels found on the monitor, it boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. It is also capable of a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a wide 178-degree viewing angle for excellent picture quality and vivid details. Not to forget it even comes with AMD FreeSync support.
